The Tubeless Conversion service at 2 Peaks Bikes is exactly that, a service where we convert your wheel to a tubeless system. Please note that this service is charged on a per wheel basis. It does include all the tape and sealant necessary.
If your tire is not tubeless ready, a Tubeless Ready tire will be charged as an additional item. And the same goes for the tubeless valve, if you don't have one we can sell you one.
About tubeless:
Tubeless sealants act as a "plug". It's a liquid with particles in it, that is injected in your tire.
It stays there, between your tire and your wheel and if you get a puncture, that liquid and its particles fill the holes created by the thorn, tack, nail or whatever punctured your tire.
The most common type of punctures a tubeless system will manage to "fix" are those caused by a nail, tacks, thorns and such. Keep in mind that if the size of the hole in your tire is too big (i.e. sideway tears and cuts), the sealant might not be able to prevent you from getting a flat. In that case, the best way to get home is to put a tube in, inflate it and then take your bike to a shop to see if it can be fixed.
